In comparison to F. bucharica its anthers are blackish purple (versus yellow or greenish yellow), the perianth is pale pink (versus white) with the base dark red and yellowish green (versus greenish yellow). From F. baisunensis it differs in its speckless pale perianth (versus minutely speckled white perianth). Moreover, it differs from both of them in having yellowish pink longitudinal nerves (versus yellowish green) of the tepals. Perennial herb. Bulb subglobose, 2–3 cm in diameter. Stem erect or slightly curved, 25–40 (50) cm long, proximally glabrous, distally shaggy pubescent at base of bracts. Lower leaves opposite or alternate, broadly ovate-elliptic, to 8 cm long, 4 cm broad, subamplexicaul; upper leaves lanceolate; floral leaves linear-lanceolate 4–8 mm broad. Panicle terminal, many-flowered; pedicels 2–3 cm long. Flowers actinomorphic; perianth slightly purple, dark red and greenish yellow adaxially at base, with 3–5 yellowish pink longitudinal nerves, campanulate; perianth segments oblong-oval to lanceolate, 2.5–3.5 cm long; tepals 1–2 cm broad, blunt at apex. Stamens 1/3 length of perianth; filaments slender, densely pubescent, equal to or shorter than the brownish purple anthers. Pistil not longer than the stamens. Capsule winged.
