Stems in old parts numerous, strongly branched, ligneous; parts of the current year 3–7 cm, slender, flexuose, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.4−0.5 mm, with few black hairs mixed in, especially below the nodes. Stipules minute, scarious, 1–1.5 mm, ovate to triangular, very shortly adnate to the petiole, vaginate-connate nearly up to the top, sparsely covered with white and black hairs, glabrescent with age. Leaves 5–7 cm; petiole 1.5–3 cm, like the rachis very slender, sparsely to loosely white hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 4–6 pairs, elliptic to suborbicular, (4–)7–10(−14) × (3.5–) 4–9 mm, rounded, covered on upper side sparsely, on underside loosely with appressed white hairs 0.5–1 mm. Peduncles (1.5–)3.5–9 cm, slender, sparsely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs, below the raceme sometimes with black hairs mixed in. Racemes 3.5–5 cm long, loosely 3–9- flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, 2–4 mm, narrowly triangular, predominantly black hairy. Pedicels 3–5 mm, with white and black hairs. Calyx 13–15 mm, from beginning of anthesis slightly ellipsoid-inflated, later on slightly enlarging, rather densely covered with subappressed, flexuose, medifixed white and black hairs 0.3−0.4 mm, sparsely hairy in fruit; teeth subulate, 2–4 mm, densely white hairy on inner side. Petals pale violet. Standard 25–30 mm; blade c. 9 mm wide, oblong, emarginate, angularly passing into a rather long claw. Wings 22–26 mm; blades narrowly elliptic, slightly emarginate, 8–9 × 3 mm; auricle 0.3 mm, claw very fine, 16–18 mm. Keel 18–22 mm; blades obliquely triangular-elliptic, with widely ± rectangularly curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, acute, 6 × 3 mm; auricle minute, claw 11–12 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mout. Ovary with a stipe c. 1.5 mm, densely white hairy. Legumes with a stipe c. 1 mm, narrowly ellipsoid, 8–14 mm long, c. 5 mm high, strongly compressed laterally, keeled ventrally, rounded dorsally, with a beak 1–1.5 mm, bilocular; valves coriaceous, pale brown, densely villous with basifixed, spreading white hairs 1−2 mm, sitting on minute tubercles.
