Rootstock up to 15 mm in diameter, branched in upper part. Stems several, branched near the base, the older parts (10–)30–80 cm, ligneous, covered with chestnut-brown, longitudinal splitting bark; branches of the current year 5–20(–30) cm, densely to very densely covered with white, at the nodes sometimes also with black hairs 0.6–0.8 mm. Stipules greenish, (2–)3–4 mm, triangular-ovate to narrowly ovate-acuminate or narrowly triangular, shortly adnate to the petiole, rather densely to densely hairy. Leaves (2.5–)3–5 cm, subsessile; rachis 1–2 cm, rather densely hairy. Leaflets in 2–4 pairs, linear, (8–)12–40 × (1–)1.5–3 mm, rarely narrowly elliptic and up to 7 mm wide, acute, on upper side loosely, on underside more densely covered with white hairs 0.8–1(–1.2) mm. Peduncles 7–10 cm, densely hairy like the stem. Racemes ovoid, 2–3(–4) cm long, densely 8–22-flowered, slightly elongated in fruit; axis densely predominantly white hairy. Bracts whitish-membranous, narrowly triangular, 1–2(–3) mm, mostly black ciliate. Pedicels c. 0.5 mm, with subappressed white and black hairs. Calyx 7–10 mm, tubular, villous, sparsely to densely covered with tangled, very short, subapressed black hairs 0.1–0.3 mm and with distinctly longer, strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, flexuose, ascending white hairs up to 1 mm; teeth subulate, 1.5–2 mm, densely hairy on inner side. Petals purple. Standard (13–)15–19 mm; blade c. 6 mm wide, rhombic, retuse, subabruptly and angularly passing into the short claw. Wings (12–)14–17 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly obliquely emarginate, (5–)7 × (1.2–)2 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 7–8 mm. Keel (9–)11–14 mm; blades obliquely oblong, subacute, (3–)5 × (1.5–)2 mm; auricle c. 0.8 mm, claw 8 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary subsessile, linear, white hairy. Legumes sessile, spreading or rarely nodding, narrowly linear, straight, (17–)20–30 mm long, (1.5–)2 mm thick, keeled ventrally, flat or rarely slightly rounded dorsally, shortly acuminate without distinct beak, bilocular: valves coriaceous, densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed black hairs 0.3−0.6 mm and with distinctly asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed to slightly ascending white hairs 0.6−0.8 mm, rarely only with white hairs.
