Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 763Plants spiny-shrubby, up to 30 cm tall, densely branched, with white, in the inflorescence also black hairs 0.2−0.8 mm, at the fruits 1−1.5 mm. Stems erect, those of the current year short, with internodes 1−4 mm, pale brown, rather sparsely hairy, brown and glabrescent with age. Stipules white- membranous to nearly scarious, 4−5 mm, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm and distinctly connate higher up before the petiole, not amplexicaul, one-nerved, sparsely ciliate and hairy. Leaves 3−5 cm; petiole 0.6−0.9 cm, like the rachis ± erect, thin and flexible, the spiny tip 2−3 times longer than the uppermost leaflets, pale green, with ± appressed to spreading hairs, blackish brown and glabrous with age. Leaflets in 5−7 pairs, narrowly obovate, 2−6 × c. 1.5 mm, the uppermost half as long, acute, on both sides appressed hairy but on upper side partly glabrescent, folded. Racemes subsessile, 1−3- flowered. Bracts very narrowly triangular, 2.5−4 mm, keeled at the midrib, white or black and white hairy. Pedicels 1.5−3 mm, with appressed to spreading black and white hairs. Calyx tubular, 10−13(−15) mm, yellowish, rather densely covered with spreading black hairs 0.2−0.5 mm and sparsely with white hairs 1−1.5 mm; teeth subulate to narrowly triangular, 2−4 mm. Petals yellow, standard in the middle sparsely to rather densely covered with white or white and black hairs. Standard 18−22 mm; blade 7−8 mm wide, obovate, indistinctly emarginate, at the base gradually narrowed. Wings 18−20 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 9−10 mm; claw 9−10 mm. Keel 16−19 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, ± straight, with in the middle gibbous-curved lower edge and slightly curved upper edge, acuminate. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe 1−1.5 mm, densely appressed hairy with long white and mostly also short black hairs; style thin, hairy only at the base. Legumes unknown.
