Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 737Plants 8–20(–30) cm tall, acaulescent, caespitose, only covered with thin, white hairs. Rootstock up to 15 mm thick, divided, with short to long branches, in upper part densely covered with remnants of old leaves. Stipules whitish-membranous, 5–12 mm, adnate to the petiole for c. 2 mm, densely ciliate at the margins, the lower ones ovate to oblong, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular. Leaves 4–20(–30) cm; petiole 1–7(–10) cm, like the rachis loosely to rather densely covered with spreading hairs 1–2 mm. Leaflets (4–)5–8 (–10)-verticillate in 10–18 crowded whorls, narrowly elliptic to narrowly obovate, 3–8(–15) × 1.5–2.5(–2) mm, rounded, on upper side glabrous, on underside rather densely covered with appressed to ascending hairs, mostly folded. Peduncle 0.2–0.6 (–2.5) cm, with spreading hairs. Racemes 3–5-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, 4–8 mm, linear-acute, hairy. Calyx 10–15 mm, tubular, very sparsely to loosely, more rarely rather densely covered with spreading hairs, in upper part always more densely hairy than at the base and here often completely glabrous; teeth narrowly triangular-acuminate, 2–3 mm. Petals yellow, fading reddish. Standard 20–26 mm; blade oblong-panduriform, 7–10 mm wide, deeply incised, in lower third distinctly constricted, angularly abruptly narrowed at the base. Wings 19–24 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 8–9 × 3 mm; auricle c. 1.5 mm, claw 11–14 mm. Keel 16–22 mm; blades obliquely obovate-triangular, with in upper part rectangularly curved lower edge and straight upper edge, subobtuse to subacute, 5–6 × 2.5–3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 11–14 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe 1–2.5 mm, appressed hairy; style glabrous. Legumes with a stipe 2–3 mm, narrowly ellipsoid, 8– 15 mm long, 4–5 mm high and 3–4 mm wide, keeled ventrally, widely grooved dorsally, with a beak c. 2 mm, incompletely bilocular; valves thin but tough, brownish, rather densely covered with ascending hairs.
