Rootstock up to 5 mm thick, with a pluricipital root- crown, with short to elongated subterranean stolons covered in upper part with remnants of old stipules and petioles. Stipules white-membranous, often reddish-suffused, longitudinal nerved, 6−11 mm, the lower ones ovate to oblong, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular-acuminate, all adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, glabrous or ciliate at the margins. Leaves 5−20 cm; petiole 2.5−11 cm, like the rachis sparseyl to loosely covered with short appressed hairs. Leaflets 4−6-verticillate in (4−)6−9(−12) whorls, narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic, (5−)7−20(−25) × 2−3(−4) mm, obtuse to shortly acuminate, on upper side glabrous or sparsely to loosely hairy, on underside mostly more densely appressed hairy, mostly flat or with slightly incurved margins. Racemes subsessile or with a sparsely hairy peduncle 3−10(−20) mm, 2−3-flowered. Bracts white-membranous to reddish, 5−7 mm, very narrowly triangular, long acuminate, ciliate at the margins. Pedicels 3−5(−6) mm, glabrous or rarely sparsely hairy. Calyx narrowly tubular, 12−16 mm, tube glabrous or sparsely appressed hairy; teeth 2−4 mm, very narrowly triangular, sparsely ciliate. Petals glabrous, yellow, fading red. Standard (18−)20−25(−28) mm; blade 9−10 mm wide, obovate-panduriform, emarginate, in lower third distinctly constricted, angularly and subabruptly passing into the claw. Wings (17−)19−23(−26) mm; blades narrowly obovate, rounded, c. 8 × 3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 11−15 mm. Keel 17−19(−22) mm; blades obovate-triangular, with in upper part rectangularly curved lower edge and straight upper edge, acute, c. 6−4 mm; auricle very short, claw 12−14 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary subsessile or with a stipe up to 2 mm, shortly hairy; style glabrous. Legumes with a stipe 1−2 mm, oblong to ellipsoid, 12−15 mm long, 5−8 mm high and 4−5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, rounded with prominent midvein dorsally, contracted into a beak 2−3 mm, nearly unilocular with septum c. 1 mm wide; valves thin, densely covered with short, appressed hairs; fruit opening along the ventral suture.
