Stipules whitish-membranous, 3−5 mm, triangular or narrowly triangular, very shortly adnate to the petiole, at the margin loosely furnished with hairs c. 0.5 mm. Leaves 3−6.5 cm; petiole short, like the rachis rather densely covered with subappressed white hairs 0.3–0.5 mm, persistent and spiny.
