Stems of the current year absent or 1−2 cm, slender, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs. Stipules 2−3 mm, very shortly adnate to the petiole, otherwise free, densely covered with short, appressed white hairs. Leaves 3−9 cm; petiole 2−5 cm, like the rachis densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm. Leaflets in 1−2 pairs, obovate or rarely narrowly obovate, the terminal one 20−40 × 10−20 mm, the lateral ones 7−15 × 4−7 mm, round-tipped with a minute mucro, rarely subacute, on both sides densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 0.6−0.8 mm, on underside more densely (silvery) than on upper side. Peduncles 5−10 cm, hairy like the rachis. Racemes 4−7(−12) cm long, remotely 4−14-flowered. Bracts 1−1.5 mm, ovate, densely white and black hairy. Calyx 11−13 mm at beginning of anthesis, tubular, densely covered with medifixed, appressed black hairs 0.5−0.8 mm and fewer white hairs 1 mm, fruiting calyx ovoid-inflated, 12−17 mm; teeth narrowly triangular-subulate, 1−3 mm.
