Stems 0.5–10 cm, prostrate to ascending or erect, loosely to densely covered with appressed hairs. Stipules greenish, triangular, 1–2 mm, shortly adnate to the petiole, ciliate at the margins. Leaves (1.5–) 2.5–5(–7) cm; petiole of lower leaves up to 2(–4) cm, of upper leaves shorter and c. 0.5 cm, like the rachis sulcate adaxially, loosely to rather densely covered with nearly appressed hairs. Leaflets in (2–)4–7 pairs, narrowly elliptic, (2.5–)3–9(–18) × 1–3.5(–7) mm, acute to rounded or more rarely retuse and with a minute cusp, on upper side loosely, on underside more densely subappressed hairy. Peduncles 1.5–5 (–11) cm, hairy like the stem. Racemes loosely (1–)2–5(–6)-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, narrowly triangular, 1–1.5 mm, white or also black ciliate. Pedicels c. 1 mm, hairy. Calyx (2.5–)3–4 (–4.5) mm, campanulate, loosely to rather densely cobered with ± appressed white hairs, sometimes with black hairs mixed in; teeth subulate, (1–)1.5–2(–2.5) mm. Petals violet. Standard (4.5–)5–8(–9) mm, widely ovate, deeply emarginate, at the base abruptly contracted into the very short claw. Wings (3.5–)4.5–6(–6.5) mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, (2.5–)3–4.5(–5.5) × 1–1.8(–2) mm; auricle 0.4–0.7 mm, claw (0.8–)1.5–2 mm. Keel (3.5–)4.5–6(–7) mm; blades obliquely elliptic-triangular, with very widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, rounded, (2.5–)3–4 × (1.8–)2–3 mm; auricle acute, short, claw 1–2 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary sessile, hairy; style glabrous, below the stigma shortly hairy. Legumes sessile, linear, slightly to strongly curved, sometimes up nearly circular, (20–)25–35 mm long, 2–2.5 mm high and 2.5–3 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, deeply grooved dorsally, subacute,; valves thin, brownish, rather densely covered with appressed hairs 0.1–0.2 mm and with much fewer, spreading, sometimes slightly hooked hairs 0.4–0.5 mm, dilated at the base and sitting on little tubercles, rarely without either the short or the longer hairs.
