Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 810Plants 5–17 cm tall, with short appressed to ascending or more rarely spreading hairs, 0.05–0.3 mm. Rootstock with pluricipal and shortly branched root-crown, old branches covered with remainders of old stipules. Stems several, 1–7(–10) cm, prostrate, slightly branched in lower part, glabrous or more rarely sparsely hairy. Stipules greenish, drying to brownish, 4–5 mm, widely ovate to ovate, the upper ones narrowly triangular, free from the petiole, connate behind the stem to more than half of the length, ciliate with white or black and white hairs. Leaves 1.5–5 cm; petiole much shorter to rarely nearly as long as the rachis, like the rachis nearly glabrous, grooved adaxially. Leaflets in 4–7 pairs, ± glaucous, narrowly elliptic to ovate, subacute or rarely obtuse, 2–8 × 0.5–3 mm, glabrous on upper side, at the margin and at the tip with few appressed or ascending white hairs or sparsely covered with appressed to subappressed, tangled hairs on both sides. Peduncle 2–7 cm, finely striate, covered with scattered white hairs, towards the raceme ± denser hairy with mixed white and black hairs, sometimes nearly glabrous. Racemes at first short, densely 5–16-flowered, later on somewhat elongated; axis loosely black hairy. Bracts whitish-membranous, 2–4 mm, narrowly ovate, acute, scarsely and predominatly black hairy. Pedicels c. 1 mm, white and black hairy. Calyx shortly tubular, slightly obliquely cut at the mouth, 6–8 mm, loosely covered with appressed to spreading, predominantly black hairs; teeth slightly unequal, the three abaxial close together, narrowly triangular, c. 2 mm, the two adaxial more remote, triangular, c. 1.5 mm, all hairy at the tip on inner side. Petals lilac violet, with a dark spot at the keel tip. Standard 14–16 mm; blade obovate, c. 8 mm wide, emarginate, gradually narrowed at the base. Wings 12–14 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly dilated upward, deeply incised and bilobed, 8–9 × 3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 4–5 mm. Keel 9–11 mm; blades elliptic-triangular, with widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, obtuse, c. 6 × 3.5 mm; auricle indistinct, claw 3–5 mm. Legumes with a slender stipe c. 3 mm, pendulous, bladdery- inflated, obliquely ovoid, 15–25 mm long, 8−10 mm high, shortly acuminate, unilocular; valves thin, membranous, glabrous, often red-spotted.
