Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1758Plants 20−30 cm tall, subshrubby, subacaulescent. Rootstock divided with short underground- branches. Stems in older parts short, ligneous, blackish; parts of the current year 1−7 cm, ver densely covered with medifixed, subappressed hairs c. 1 mm. Stipules c. 10 mm, appressed white hairy, adnate to the petiole c. 2 mm, free tips of the lower ones triangular, of the upper ones narrowly triangular, acuminate. Leaves 10−27 cm; the short petiole and rachis densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.6−0.8 mm, becoming rigid and persistent. Leaflets in 10−13 pairs, narrowly elliptic. 7−15(−17) × 2.5−4 mm, acute, on upper side loosely, on underside loosely to rather densely hairy like the rachis. Peduncles 4−8 cm, hairy like the rachis. Racemes short, 6−8-flowered. Bracts 2−4 mm, narrowly ovate, black hairy. Calyx 11−12 mm, tubular, rather densely to densely covered with appressed short, medifixed black hairs and with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate white hairs c. 1 mm; teeth subulate, c. 2 mm. Petals unknown. Legumes sessile, ovoid, 14−15 mm long, keeled ventrally, flattened dorsally, triquetrous in cross-section, subobtuse, bilocular; valves rigidly coriaceous, covered with hispid, spreading white hairs.
