Stems absent or rarely 0.5(−2.5) cm, very densely covered with appressed white hairs. Stipules c. 5 mm, triangular- ovate, acute, adnate to the petiole, densely white hairy. Leaves 9–25 cm; petiole 7−15 cm, with the rachis densely covered with appressed, medifixed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm, becoming hard and partly persistent. Leaflets remote, in 2−3 pairs, obovate, 7–15 × 5–10 mm, obtuse, often minutely mucronulate, on both sides rather densely to densely covered with appressed, medifixed hairs 0.8−1 mm, mostly more densely on underside, prominently veined. Peduncles 9−25 cm, loosely to rather densely hairy like the rhachis, becoming hard and partly persistent.
