Rootstock with a pluricipital root-crown, sometimes with short branches densely covered with remnants of old leaves. Stems several, mostly erect, 0.5–2(−5) cm; very densely covered with asymmetrically bifurcate, tangled, ascending hairs 0.8−1 mm. Stipules greenish, triangular to more rarely narrowly triangular, nearly free from the petiole, loosely hairy, sometimes only at the margins hairy with partly subbasifixed hairs. Leaves 2–11 cm; petiole 0.8–4.5 cm, like the rachis loosely to densely covered with asymmetrically bifurcate, ascending to spreading hairs 0.5–1.5(−2) mm. Leaflets in 3–6 pairs, elliptic to obovate, 5–18 × 2–13 mm, obtuse to widely rounded, very shortly mucronulate-acuminate, on upper side loosely on underside loosely to densely hairy like the rachis. Peduncles 0.6−2.2 cm, densely white hairy like the rachis, below the raceme sometimes with few black hairs mixed in. Racemes 3.5−6(−8) cm long, 3.5(−4) cm in diameter, densely many-flowered. Petals pinkish violet, drying yellow. Standard (17−)20−24(−27) mm; blade c. 7 mm wide, obovate-panduriform, slightly constricted below the middle, auriculate-angularly passing into the cuneate, short claw. Wings (14−)20−23(−27) mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, c. 7 × 3 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw c. 15 mm. Keel nearly as long as the wings; blades oblong-obovate, widely rounded, c. 7 × 3 mm; auricle short, claw c. 15 mm. Ovary subsessile or with a stipe up to 1 mm, hairy. Legumes subsessile, narrowly oblong, 8−12 mm long, 3.5−4 mm high, compressed laterally, keeled ventrally, deeply grooved dorsally, subtriangular in cross-section, with a curved beak 2.5−3 mm, nearly bilocular; valves with spreading white hairs c. 3 mm. Seeds 2.5−3.5 mm long, brown or greyish brown, smooth.
