Stipules greenish, narrowly triangular, those of lower leaves up to 10 mm, those of upper leaves shorter, all nearly free from petiole, ciliate, soon caducous. Leaves 8–20 cm; petiole 2–4(–6) cm, like the rachis straw-colored, somewhat rigid, loosely covered with spreading hairs. Leaflets in 4–7 pairs, remote, nearly orbicular, (7)10–25(–28) mm and nearly as wide, on upper side glabrous or loosely haity toward the margins, on underside densely sericeous with subappressed hairs, often folded. Peduncles 3–5 cm, rigid, hairy like the rachis, often glabrescent. Racemes (10–)15–20(–25) cm, loosely many- flowered. Bracts greenish, linear, acuminate, 4–8 mm, ciliate. Pedicels 1–2 mm, sparsely hairy. Bracteoles greenish, linear, acute, 3–4 mm, ciliate, at the base of calyx.
