Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 413Plants 30–40 cm tall. Stems erect, thick, striate-angular, glabrous or sparsely hairy. Stipules narrowly triangular, acuminate, 12–16 mm, adnate to the petiole for 5 mm, at the margins loosely to densely furnished with hairs 1–1.5 mm. Leaves up to 20 cm; rachis velvetily hairy. Leaflets in c. 20 pairs, ovate to elliptic, subacute at the tip, 12–30 × 8–15 mm, on upper side glabrous, at the margins and on underside, especially at the midvein covered with curled, subappressed to ascending hairs 0.5–0.8 mm. Peduncle strong, 4–8 cm, velvetly hairy. Raceme loosely many-flowered, up to 15 cm. Bracts linear, 8–12 mm, with spreading hairs up to 2 mm. Pedicels very long, 12–16 mm, with spreading hairs up to 2 mm. Bracteoles filiform, c. 10 mm, in upper part of the pedicel. Calyx campanulate-tubular, 19–30 mm, densely covered with flexuose, tangled, spreading hairs up to 3 mm; teeth subulate, as long as the tube or slightly longer. Petals yellow. Standard 18–25 mm, shorter than the calyx; blade elliptic or oblong, densely hairy on upper side, with a short claw. Wings 16–22 mm; blades narrowly oblong; auricle c. 2 mm, the claw short. Keel 17–20 mm; blades narrowly elliptic, straight or slightly obliquely elliptic. Legumes subsessile, ovate, c. 10 mm long and 6–7 mm high, villous.
