Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1876Plants 6−30 cm tall. Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, with a pluricipital root-crown, branched, like the older parts of stems covered with greyish brown bark. Stems several, 2−10(−30) cm, ligneous at the base, prostrate to erect, branched; the parts of the current year 1−12 cm, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.6−0.8 mm. Stipules greenish, c. 2 mm, ovate-acuminate, very shortly adnate to the petiole, white hairy. Leaves 1−5 cm, subsessile or petiole up to 1 cm; rachis hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 3(−4) pairs, linear, 4−15(−20) × 1−1.5 mm, obtuse, covered on upper side loosely, on underside rather densely with medifixed, appressed hairs c. 1 mm. Peduncles 4−6(−20) cm, white hairy like the stem, below the raceme with some black hairs mixed in. Racemes 2.5−3 cm long, 5−12-flowered. Bracts membranous, 1−1.5 mm, ovate, black and white hairy. Pedicels c. 1 mm, black and white hairy. Calyx 8−10 mm, tubular, obliquely cut at the mouth, covered on dorsal side with predominantly medifixed, appressed, slightly flexuose black hairs 0.3−0.5 mm and at ventral side with subappressed to ascending, longer, predominantly white hairs, sometimes allover with white hairs; teeth narrowly triangular, 0.5−1.5 mm. Petals lilac purple. Standard 18−22 mm; blade 7−9 mm wide, obovate, emarginate, at the base gradually narrowed into the short claw. Wings 17−20 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obliquely emarginate, c. 7 × 2 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 10−11 mm. Keel 15−17 mm; blades narrowly obovate-curved, with widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, subobtuse, c. 6 × 2; auricle minute, claw 10−11 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary linear. Legumes linear, 12−28 mm long, 2−3 mm high, 1.5 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally and dorsally, shortly acuminate at the tip, bilocular; valves thinly coriaceous, straw-colored, densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, tangled, subappressed to slightly or partly distinctly ascending white hairs 0.4−0.8 mm, with some black hairs mixed in.
