Rootstock up to 10 mm in diameter, repeatedly divided, branches short, in upper part densely covered with remnants of old leaves. Stipules whitish, triangular to narrowly triangular, 5–8(–15) mm, adnate to the petiole for 2–4(–7) mm, rather densely hairy. Leaves 2.5–20(–28) cm; petiole 1–7.5(–9) cm, like the rachis grooved adaxially, densely hairy. Leaflets in (2–)4–7 pairs, elliptic to obovate, 4–18(–23) × 2–11 mm, subacute or obtuse to slightly retuse, very shortly acuminate-mucronulate, loosely furnished on upper with appressed hairs, on underside side more densely hairy, more rarely on upper side glabrous or only with scattered hairs and on underside only sparsely hairy. Peduncles 3–17(–28) cm, rather thick, erect, rather densely hairy, sometimes partly glabrescent with age. Racemes at anthesis rather densely 5–10(–20)-flowered, in fruit elongating and up to 15 cm long. Bracts whitish with greenish midrib, ovate to narrowly ovate, 3–8(–15) mm, ciliate at the margin. Pedicels c. 1–2 mm, in fruit up to 5 mm, hairy. Bracteoles whitish, narrowly triangular, 2–5(–7) mm, ciliate, in upper part of the pedicel. Calyx 11–13(–16) mm, distinctly gibbous at the base, obliquely cut at the mouth, glabrous or only at the base and at the teeth with scattered hairs, rarely loosely covered with appressed, medifixed, black or black and white hairs 0.2−0.4 mm; teeth greenish, subulate, 3–5(–7) mm, glabrous to sparsely hairy on inner side. Petals yellow, often purplish-suffused or more rarely purple, often purplish when dry. Standard 21–26 mm; blade slightly curved upward in upper part, 10–12(–14) mm wide, obovate, widely rounded to slightly retuse, slightly to distinctly angularly passing into the short cuneate claw. Wings 18–20(–22) mm; blades obovate-spathulate, distinctly dilated toward the tip, obliquely emarginate to obliquely truncate, 8–10.5 × 4–4.5 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 10–13 mm. Keel 17–18(–20) mm; blades oblong-curved, with widely, rather slightly curved lower edge and convex upper edge, subobtuse, 7–8.5 × 3–3.8 mm; auricle 0.5 mm, claw 10–11 mm. Ovary shortly stipitate, linear, glabrous or furnished with very short hairs. Legumes subsessile or with a stipe up to 2 mm, spreading to pendulous, linear, slightly curved to nearly straight, 20–30 mm long, 3–5 mm high and wide, subtriquetrous in cross section, keeled ventrally, grooved at the wide dorsal side, subabruptly contracted into a straight beak 2–5 mm, bilocular; valves brownish, glabrous when mature or with few white hairs mainly in the dorsal groove.
