Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 54Plants branched at the base, covered with white, in the inflorescence also with black hairs 0.1−0.5 mm, rarely completely glabrous. Stems mostly several, 0.5−20(−65) cm, prostrate to ascending, more rarely erect, sulcate, sparsely to more rarely loosely to rather densely covered with partly spreading white hairs, more rarely with some black hairs mixed in or strongly glabrescent. Stipules whitish to slightly greenish, 2.5−5 mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole, free from each other, at the margins sparsely or rarely more densely white or also black ciliate. Leaves (1.5−)2−10 cm; petiole 0.3−1 cm, like the rachis bisulcate adaxially, hairy like the stem. Leaflets in (4−)5−9 pairs, narrowly obovate or narrowly cuneate to obovate or cuneate, widest near the tip, 3−11 × 1−8 mm, widely and distinctly emarginate, on upper side glabrous or very sparsely hairy, on underside sparsely, especially at the midvein, more rarely allover ± densely subappressed hairy, plants grown under dry conditions have often thickish, bluish green and partly folded leaflets, those grown under better conditions have mostly thin, dull green, always flat leaflets. Peduncles 1−5 cm, hairy like the stem. Racemes loosely 1−5(−10)-flowered. Bracts whitish, triangular-acuminate, 1.5−3(−4) mm, white and black hairy. Pedicels 1−2 mm, white and black hairy. Calyx campanulate, (3.5−)4−5 mm, rather densely covered with appressed white and black hairs; teeth narrowly triangular, (1−)1.5−2 mm. Petals white, creamy or violet. Standard 7−9 mm; blade ± rhombic, 3−4.2 mm wide, slightly emarginate, cuneately narrowed at the base. Wings 6−7.5 mm; blades narrowly oblong, ± distinctly emarginate, 3.5−5 × 1.3 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw 2−3 mm. Keel 5−6 mm; blades obliquely elliptic-triangular, with widely curved lower edge and slightly sigmoid upper edge, obtuse, 2.5−3 × 1.5−1.8 mm; auricle short but distinct, claw 2−3 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary sessile, glabrous; style short. Legumes sessile, linear, distinctly to nearly circularly curved, 20−45 mm long, 2−2.5 mm high, (2.5)3−4 mm wide, very obtusely keeled to flat ventrally, deeply V-like grooved dorsally, with a short, hooked beak, bilocular; valves thin but tough, greyish brown, with distinct, netlike connected transverse nerves which are often protruding at the dorsal side, glabrous. Seeds rectangular, 3 × 2 mm, smooth.
