Rootstock strong, up to 15 mm in diameter, strongly divided with short, stout, blackish branches. Stipules narrowly triangular, 3–4 mm, adnate to the petiole for c. 1 mm, otherwise free from each other, densely covered with subappressed white hairs. Leaves 2–7 cm; petiole 1–2.5 cm, like the rachis slender, densely hairy. Leaflets in 4–6 pairs, elliptic to obovate, 4–12 × 2–5 mm, subacute to very minutely mucronulate, very densely covered on both sides with subappressed hairs. Peduncles 1–7(–10) cm, densely covered with subappressed white, toward the raceme also black hairs. Racemes subglobose to ovoid, densely 8–15-flowered. Bracts whitish- membranous, 3–5 mm, ovate-acute, covered with partly strongly asymmetrically bifurcate white hairs, especially at the margins. Pedicels 0.5–1 mm, black and white hairy. Calyx at anthesis tubular, 9–10 mm, loosely to rather densely covered with appressed black and white hairs; teeth narrowly triangular- linear, 1–1.5 mm, densely hairy on inner side with mostly basifixed white hairs; fruiting calyx slightly elongated, up to 12 mm, ellipsoid-inflated; teeth narrowly triangular, 2–2.5 mm. Petals pale purplish to yellowish with purple keel. Standard 17–20 mm; blade elliptic, 5–6 mm wide, distinctly emarginate, long narrowed at the base. Wings 16–19 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly emarginate to nearly rounded, 7 × 2 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw 9–11 mm. Keel 13–15 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part widely curved lower edge and ± straight to slightly sigmoid upper edge, subacute, 5.5 × 2.5 mm; auricle minute, claw 9 mm. Stamen-tube ± truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile, densely with spreading white hairs; style glabrous. Legumes enclosed in the calyx, subsessile, narrowly ellipsoid to narrowly obovoid, 8–10 mm long, 3–3.5 mm high and 1.5–2 mm wide, keeled ventrally, slightly keeled to narrowly rounded dorsally, with a beak c. 1 mm, bilocular; valves straw- colored, thinly coriaceous, rather densely covered with strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, spreading white hairs up to 2 mm.
