Stems of the current year 2−4 cm, angular-sulcate, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs c. 0.8 mm. Stipules membranous, 4−8 mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for 3−4 mm, sparsely to loosely with partly subbasifixed hairs, especially at the margins. Leaves 12−20(−22) cm; petiole 1.5−4 cm, like the rachis loosely appressed white hairy.
