Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. II, p. 1347Plants dwarf shrubs up to 20 cm tall, densely branched at the base. Hairs merely white, at leaves and stipules 0.1−1 mm, at the calyx up to 2.5 mm, mostly very thin. Stems prostrate, up to 18 cm; parts of the current year 1−5 cm, 1.5−2.5 mm in diameter, densely villous, gradually glabrescent. Stipules chartaceous, yellowish white, 5−7 mm, adnate to the petiole for 3−4 mm, otherwise free from each other, narrowly ovate to ovate, acuminate, with 3−5 parallel nerves at free part, sparsely to densely appressed tomentose, gradually glabrescent. Leaves 2−4 cm, crowded, ascending to horizontal; petiole 0.5−2.2 cm, like the rachis thick, rigid, mostly straight, densely covered with spreadingl hairs, soon glabrescent; terminal spine 1−2 times as long as the uppermost leaflets. Leaflets in 5−6 pairs, mostly flat, green, narrowly elliptic, 5−7 × 1−2 mm, obtuse, with a mucro 0.5−1 mm, on both sides densely hairy, gradually glabrescent. Synflorescences distributed along the current years’ stem, ovoid to shortly cylindical, 3−5 cm long, c. 2−2.5 cm in diameter, composed of 4−10-flowered axillary clusters. Pedicels absent. Bracts thinly membranous, not hyaline, yellowish, 8−9.5 × 1−3.5 mm, outer ones ovate, folded, inner ones narrowly oblong to linear, boat-shaped, shortly acuminate, sparsely hairy in distal half, ciliate at the margins, otherwise glabrous. Bracteoles absent. Calyx yellowish white, sometimes purple at the teeth, 4−6 mm, turbinate-campanulate, unruptured at fruiting time, with 12−17 parallel nerves, densely appressed hairy; teeth 1−2 mm, narrowly triangular to subulate. Petals yellowish white, claws of the wings and keel adnate to the stamen-tube only at the base. Standard 10−12 mm; blade 6−7 × 3−4 mm, retuse, constricted in lower third, below the constriction obtusely dilated and wider than in distal part; claw widely cuneate, 4−5 mm. Wings c. 9 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, c. 3.5 × 1−1.5 mm; auricle 0.2−0.5 mm, claw c. 6 mm.
