Stems of the preceding years ligneous, 7−20 cm, densely appressed hairy, at least with brownish, longitudinally splitting bark; branches of the current year 15−25 cm, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.4−0.5 mm, Stipules membranous, 1−2.5 mm, nearly free from the petiole, vaginate-connate high up, with triangular free tips, at the margins ciliate and with minute sessile glands, otherwise glabrous or very sparsely hairy. Leaves (1−)2.5−4(−8) cm; petiole 0.2−0.4 cm, like the short rachis densely hairy like the stem, becoming hard and persistent but not spiny. Leaflets in 1 pair, in upper leaves often only one terminal leaflet, linear to narrowly elliptic, (10−)17−30(−45) × 1−3(−5) mm, acute, on both sides rather densely to densely covered with appressed hairs 0.3−1 mm. Keel 9−11 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with widely curved lower edge and slightly sigmoid upper edge, subacute, 4−5 × 2 mm; auricle short, claw 6 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 1 mm, hairy; style glabrous. Legumes nodding, with a stipe 2−3 mm, narrowly ellipsoid, attenuate at both ends, 10−15 mm long, 3−4 mm high, 1.5−2 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, with a beak 2 mm, bilocular; valves membranous, rather densely covered with basifixed, ascending, soft white hairs 1.5−2 mm.
