Stems of the current year several, (5−)12−28 cm, erect, often branched in lower part, densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.3−0.5 mm. Stipules membranous, 1−2 mm, triangular, shortly adnate to the petiole, at least the lower ones and often also some of the upper ones shortly but distinctly vaginate-connate, appressed white hairy. Leaves 6−18 cm; petiole 3−8 cm, with the rachis rather densely to densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 2−3 pairs, linear, (8−)10−30(−50) × 3−5 mm, subacute to shortly acuminate, covered on upper side loosely to rather densely, on underside densely with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.6−1 mm.
