Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 385Plants c. 40 cm tall or higher, nearly allover very densely covered with white or reddish brown mostly spreading hairs. Rootstock up to 15 mm in diameter. Stem erect, up to 10 mm in diameter, very densely covered with spreading, tangled hairs 0.3–1 mm. Stipules membranous, narrowly triangular, long filiform-acuminate, 20–30 mm, adnate to the petiole for 1–2 mm, densely appressed hairy. Leaves 17–22 cm; rachis stout, very densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 7–10 pairs, narrowly elliptic to elliptic, (26–)32–40(–45) × 12–20 mm, acuminate, on upper side densely, on underside very densely covered with ascending to spreading, tangled hairs up to 1 mm. Peduncles 7–9 cm, densely hairy like the stem. Racemes globose, (4–)4.5–5.5 cm in diameter, many-flowered; axis densely hairy. Bracts filiform, 15–17 mm, hairy. Flowers nearly sessile. Bracteoles absent. Calyx tubular, 20–22 mm, densely covered with hairs 2–4 mm, which cover nearly completely the petals; teeth filiform, 10–12 mm, densely hairy on inner side. Petals pale yellow or pale lilac in life, covered with subappressed hairs up to 1 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary ovoid, densely hairy; style hairy in basal half. Legumes c. 7 mm, densely covered with ascending hairs up to 2 mm.
