Rootstock divided with very short or rarely slightly elongated branches, densely covered with remnants of old leaves. Stipules whitish-membranous, 4−10(−18) mm, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, ciliate at the margins and often ± densely hairy on outer side, the lower ones ovate-triangular, the upper ones narrowly triangular-acuminate. Leaves 5−15 cm; petiole 1−3(−4) cm, like the rachis densely covered with spreading hairs. Leaflets in 16−24 pairs, elliptic to obovate, (2.5−)4−7(−12) × (1.5−)2−4 mm, rounded to slightly emarginate, on upper side glabrous, on underside and at the margins densely covered with spreading hairs, mostly folded. Peduncles 1−6 cm, with short spreading hairs. Racemes loosely (1−)2−3-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, linear-acuminate, 8−10 mm, ciliate. Pedicels 4−7 mm, densely hairy.
