Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1891Plants 30−90 cm tall, subshrubby. Rootstock strongly divided, covered with peeling, grey blackish to chestnut-brown bark. Stems in older parts ligneous, 5−10 cm, brownish grey, parts of the current year (6−)15−30 cm, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.4−0.7 mm. Stipules (2−)3−4 mm, narrowly triangular, very shortly adnate to the petiole, mostly rather densely white hairy like the stem but sometimes with black hairs mixed in. Leaves 4−10 cm, subsessile or with a petiole up to 1 cm; petiole and rachis slender, densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 3−5 pairs, linear, (14−)20−35(−40) × (1−)2−4(−6) mm, subacute or minutely acuminate, covered on upper side sparsely to loosely, on underside loosely to rather densely with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.6−1 mm. Peduncles 8−15 cm, finely sulcate, loosely to rather densely hairy like the stem, below the raceme with few black hairs mixed in, sometimes glabrescent with age. Racemes 5−7 cm long, 4−12-flowered, slightly elongating in fruit up to 10 cm. Bracts 3−5 mm, narrowly triangular, villous with partly basifixed, ± spreading white hairs up to 1 mm and with shorter, more symmetrically medifixed and appressed black hairs. Pedicels c. 2 mm, in fruit c. 3 mm, predominantly white hairy. Calyx 17−20 mm, tubular, becoming slightly inflated with age, finally ruptured by the pod, shaggy, with basifixed, ± spreading, white hairs 1−2 mm and asymmetrically bifurcate, ascending, much shorter black hairs; teeth subulate, 4−5 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals violet lilac, fading yellowish brown, standard with long ascending hairs on the backside. Standard 23−27 mm; blade 9−11 mm wide, obovate, obtuse, at the base gradually narrowed into the rather long claw. Wings 22−26 mm; blades narrowly elliptic, rounded, 9−10 × 3 mm; auricle c. 0.3 mm, claw 14−16 mm. Keel 20−23 mm; blades semicircular with widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, subacute, 7−8 × 4 mm; auricle indistinct, claw 13−15 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile, densely white hairy: style glabrous. Legumes sessile, obliquely ascending, narrowly ovoid to oblong, 17−20 mm long, 5−6 mm high, c. 4 mm wide, slightly keeled by the prominent nerv ventrally, grooved dorsally, with a subulate beak 2−4 mm, almost fully bilocular; valves rigidly coriaceous, densely villous with basifixed, ± spreading white hairs 1−1.5 mm, with distinctly shorter, asymmetrically bifurcate black hairs mixed in.
