Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. II, p. 878Plants 10–30 cm tall, with hairs 0.1–0.3 mm. Rootstock up to 5 mm in diameter, with a pluricipital root-crown, copiously branched. Stems (1–)2–10 cm, prostrate to ascending or erect, often branched, loosely or sometimes rather densely covered with appressed white hairs 0.1–0.3 mm or nearly glabrous. Stipules greenish to whitish-membranous, 2–5 mm, triangular, adnate to the petiole for 0.5–1 mm, otherwise free, sparsely hairy. Leaves 4–8(–10) cm; petiole 1.5–2(–3) cm, like the rachis slender, grooved adaxially side, sparsely to loosely covered with appressed white hairs or nearly glabrous. Leaflets in (5–)6–9 pairs, narrowly elliptic to more rarely obovate (only in spring leaves), rounded or retuse to somewhat emarginate, often minutely mucronulate, 3–8(–15) × 1.5–3(–8) mm, glabrous on upper side, sparsely to loosely covered with appressed hairs on underside, especially at midvein and margins. Peduncle 4–15(–20) cm, striate, sparsely to loosely covered with very short appressed white hairs, below the raceme sometimes with black hairs mixed in. Racemes at first globose, 1–1.5 cm long, densely many-flowered, later on elongated up to 3 cm. Bracts whitish-membranous, narrowly triangular to narrowly ovate, 1–3(–4) mm, white and black hairy. Pedicels c. 0.5 mm, black hairy. Calyx 2.5–4 mm, campanulate, rather densely covered with black hairs; teeth 0.5–1.5 mm, narrowly triangular to subulate. Petals dilutely lilac, in dry state yellowish or whitish. Standard 5–6(–7) mm; blade obovate to elliptic, 2.2–2.5 mm wide, rounded and scarcely emarginate, cuneately narrowed at the base. Wings c. 5 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded to retuse, 3 × 1 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw c. 2 mm. Keel c. 4 mm; blades obliquely obovate-triangular, with widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, rounded to subacute, c. 2 × 1.2 mm; auricle c. 0.4 mm, claw c. 2 mm. Stamen-tube ± truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy; style glabrous. Legume sessile, ellipsoid-globose, 3–4 mm long, 1.5–2 mm high and 2.5–3.5 mm wide, slightly keeled to widely rounded ventrally, deeply grooved dorsally, rounded at the tip or with a minute beak up to 1 mm, bilocular; valves thin, cross-wrinkled, loosely to rather densely covered with ascending to spreading white hairs up to 0.5 mm and often also mixed with shorter black hairs.
