Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2145Plants 30–35 cm tall, shubshrubby. Stems of the current year 25–27 cm, loosely white hairy with few black hairs mixed in. Stipules 3–6 mm, triangular or narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole, white and black hairy. Leaves 6–7 cm; petiole and rachis densely appressed white hairy, with few black hairs mixed in. Leaflets in (1–)2−3 pairs, elliptic to obovate, 15–23 × 5–15 mm, the terminal larger than the lateral ones, all on upper side sparsely, on underside densely white hairy. Peduncles several, 5−8.5 cm, densely appressed white hairy, toward the raceme also sparsely black hairy. Racemes 3.5–5 cm long, loosely 7−14-flowered. Bracts 2–5 mm, narrowly triangular, white and black hairy. Pedicels 3–4 mm, white and black hairy. Calyx 15–20 mm, tubular, after anthesis inflated, ruptured by the legume, white and black hairy; teeth linear, 4–6 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals purple. Standard 25–28 mm; blade 8–10 mm wide, obovate, emarginate, gradually narrowed at the base. Wings 23–24 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse; claw up to 15 mm. Keel 18–20 mm; claw 13–14 mm. Ovary stipitate, densely white hairy; style glabrous. Legumes with a stipe 2–3 mm, narrowly ovoid, 24–27 mm long, 5–6 mm high, keeled ventrally, rounded dorsally, with a beak c. 3 mm, bilocular; valves densely covered with long, spreading white hairs. Seeds 9–10.
