Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 58Plants simple or branched at the base, subglabrous, only furnished with scattered appressed hairs 0.05−0.3 mm. Stems up to 60 cm, glabrous. Stipules greenish, 5−10 mm, narrowly triangular, acuminate, adnate to the petiole for c. 1 mm, free from each other, sparsely ciliate at the margins. Leaves 7−15 cm; petiole 2.5−6 cm, like the rachis flat, very narrowly winged, with scattered hairs. Leaflets in 6−10 pairs, narrowly obovate, 6−15(−25) × 2−5(−8) mm, on upper side completely glabrous, on underside with some hairs especially at the nerves. Peduncles 4−8 cm, with scattered hairs. Racemes loosely 3−20-flowered. Bracts membranous, narrowly triangular, 1.5−2 mm, ciliate at the margins. Pedicels c. 1 mm, sparsely black hairy. Calyx campanulate-tubular, c. 5 mm, sparsely to loosely covered with minute, blackish hairlets; teeth subulate, c. 1 mm. Petals violet. Standard 11−14 mm; blade slightly rhombic-elliptic, 4.5−5.5 mm wide, deeply incised at the tip, cuneate at the base. Wings 9−11 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 5−6 × 1.5−2 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 4−5 mm. Keel 9−10 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, subacute, 4−5 × c. 2 mm; auricle indistinct, claw c. 5 mm. Stamen-tube nearly truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile, glabrous. Legumes sessile, linear, erect, slightly upcurved, 20−30 mm long, c. 3 mm high and 2.5 mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, deeply and narrowly grooved dorsally, very shortly acuminate, bilocular; valves thin, straw-colored, glabrous. Seeds rectangular, 3 × 1.5 mm, reddish brown, smooth.
