Hairs 0.1−1 mm, at the calyx up to 3 mm, longer ones somewhat thicker, shorter ones sometimes dilated at the base, mostly curled. Stems up to 110 cm, from a prostrate base ascending; parts of the current year 2−20 cm, 1.5−3.5 mm in diameter, densely floccose; soon glabrescent, old stems dark brown to black. Stipules yellow, membranous, with 1−3 parallel nerves, which form a net at the base, 4−10 mm, narrowly triangular- ovate, shortly or long acuminate, adnate to the petiole for 3−5 mm, entirely glabrous or just at the base sparsely shortly ciliate. Leaves 0.8−4 cm, crowded, oblique erect to recurved and deflexed; petiole 0.3−1 cm, like the rachis straight, thin or rarely stout, rigid, younger ones sparsely shortly hairy to wholly glabrous; terminal spine (1/4−)1/2−2 times as long as the upper most leaflets. Leaflets in 5−8 pairs, greenish, narrowly oblong-elliptic, 3−10 × 1−2(−2.5) mm, strongly folded or the wider ones to flat, acute, with a mucro up to 1 mm, on both sides glabrous or sparsely villous. Synflorescences at the base of current year's shoots, ovoid to shortly cylindric, 2−3 cm long and c. 1.5 cm in diameter, composed of (2−)3-flowered axillary clusters. Bracts c. 5 × 1 mm, narrowly oblong, acuminate, boat- shaped, glabrous or with some curled hairs at the tip. Calyx splitting, yellowish white, brown at the teeth (at fruiting time), 4.5−6.5 mm, with 9−12 parallel thin nerves, very densely appressed hairy to villous, glabrous at the base; teeth 2−3.5 mm, subulate. Petals creamy, the claws of wings and keel adnate to the stamen-tube up to 1.5 mm. Standard 8−10 mm; blade c. 5 mm long, oblong-pandurate, shallowly retuse, 2.5 mm wide in upper part and 3.5−4 mm wide at the base, acutely or rarely obtusely dilated at the base, with a widely cuneate claw. Wings 8−10 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, 3−4 × c. 1 mm; auricle 0.2−0.8 mm, claw 5.5−7 mm. Keel 8−10 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and ± straight upper edge, obtuse, 3−4 × 1.5−2 mm; auricle minute, claw 5−6 mm. Stamens 8−9.5 mm, the upper 1.5−2 mm free from each other. Ovary hairy; style hairy at the base or up to 1/4. Legumes 4−5 mm long, 1−2 mm high and 2−3 mm wide, with a straight beak 0.3−0.6 mm; valvers in basal part sparsely shortly appressed hairy, in upper part densely long appressed hairy to villous. Seeds c. 2.5 × 1.5−2 mm, smooth.
