Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, strongly branched, with short, intricate or creeping branches. Stems of the current year, if present, up to 5 cm, subappressed hairy. Stipules white- membranous, 3−7 mm, triangular or more rarely narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for 0.5−1.5 mm, often amplexicaul at the base and shortly to distinctly vaginate-connate, especially those of lower leaves, the free tips only shortly triangular, all sparsely hairy, ciliate at the margins. Leaves 3−10 cm; petiole 1−3 cm, like the rachis slender, often curved or flexuose, loosely to densely covered with short appressed hairs and with fewer ascending to spreading hairs up to 0.8 mm hairs. Leaflets in 7−15 pairs, narrowly ovate to narrowly elliptic, 3−10 × 1.5−4 mm, rounded or scarcely emarginate, very minutely mucronulate, on upper side sparsely to loosely or toward the margins more densely, on underside loosely to rather densely covered with subappressed to ascending hairs, often folded or boot-shaped. Racemes subsessile or with a slender, densely subappressed hairy peduncle 0.5−1.5 cm, loosely 1−3(−5)-flowered. Bracts white-membranous or slightly greenish, 2−5 mm, narrowly triangular, long acuminate, hairy. Pedicels slender, 1−3 mm, appressed hairy. Bracteoles sometimes present, 1−2 mm, narrowly ovate-acuminate, hairy. Calyx 6−12 mm, widely tubular, densely to very densely shortly appressed hairy; teeth subulate, (1.5−)2.5−3 mm. Petals partly hairy or glabrous, yellow. Standard 12−15 mm; blade mostly strongly recurved, 6−8 mm wide, obovate to nearly orbicular, deeply emarginate, at the base subabruptly narrowed into the claw 5−6 mm, in the middle of dorsal side loosely appressed hairy, sometimes only with scattered hairs or glabrous. Wings 11−13 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded or slightly emarginate, 6−7(−8) × 2−3 mm, glabrous or very sparsely hairy; auricle acute, c. 1 mm, claw 5−8 mm. Keel 9−12 mm; blades nearly triangular, with nearly rectangular-curved lower edge and ± straight upper edge, subobtuse, 4−5 × 2.5−3 mm; auricle indistinct, claw 6−8 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary sessile or subsessile, densely appressed hairy; style glabrous. Legumes sessile, obliquely narrowly oblong to narrowly ellipsoid, with distinctly curved ventral line and nearly straight dorsal line, 8−11 mm long, 3−4 mm high and wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, slightly grooved dorsally, with a recurved beak 1−3 mm, incompletely bilocular (septum 1/4−1/3(−1/2) of the fruit’s hight); valves thin, straw-colored or pale brownish, rather densely covered with fine, short, ascending hairs. Seeds 2−6 in number, 3−4 × c. 2 mm, brownish red to olive brownish, often black-dotted, smooth.
