Rootstock with a pluricipital root-crown, repeatedly divided, with short subterranean blackish branches. Stems, if present, 0.5−3 cm, appressed white hairy, densely envelopped by the stipules. Stipules whitish- membranous, sometimes with grenish tip, 2−4 mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole, behind the stem connate up to the middle, appressed white hairy. Leaves 2−5 cm; petiole (1−)2−3 cm, like the rachis slender, densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm, slightly glabrescent with age. Legumes subsessile, obliquely narrowly ellipsoid, straight, (15−)18−20(−22) mm long, 4−5 mm high, c. 3 mm wide, with a beak 1−2 mm, bilocular; valves thinly coriaceous, pale brownish, densely covered with soft, flexuose, tangled, spreading white hairs c. 3 mm, sitting on little tubercles, valves therefore warty.
