Rootstock up to 8 mm in diameter, with a pluricipital root-crown, covered in upper part with remnants of old stipules. Stipules white-membranous, often reddish-suffused, 5−9 mm, the lower ones ovate to oblong, obtuse, the upper ones narrowly triangular-acute, all adnate to the petiole for c. 2 mm, ciliate at the margins. Leaves (3−)5−8(−11) cm, often recurved and prostrate at the soil; petiole 1.5−4 cm, like the rachis loosely to rather densely covered with spreading hairs. Leaflets in 10−15 congested whorls with 4−6 leaflets each, narrowly elliptic to narrowly obovate, 3−6 × 1−2.5 mm, rounded to slightly retuse, on upper side loosely covered with subappressed hairs on underside rather densely with nearly spreading hairs. Racemes sessile to subsessile, 2−3-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, linear- acuminate, 3−5(−6) mm, ciliate at the margins. Pedicels 3−4 mm, glabrous. Calyx tubular, 9−14 mm, loosely to rather densely covered with ± spreading hairs; teeth unequal, narrowly triangular, 2−3 mm. Petals yellow, slightly fading red. Standard 15−18 (−20) mm; blade 8−9 mm wide, obovate- panduriform, emarginate, distinctly constricted in lower third, angularly passing into the short claw. Wings 14−17 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly dilated upward, rounded, 7−8 × 2 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 10−12 mm. Keel (13−)16−17 mm; blades triangular, with rectangularly curved lower edge and straight to slightly curved upper edge, c. 5 × 3 mm; auricle acute, minute, claw 9−11 mm. Stamen- tube strongly obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 3 mm, densely hairy; style glabrous. Legumes subsessile, narrowly oblong to narrowly ellipsoid, 15−17 mm long, 5−7 mm high and wide, keeled ventrally, grooved dorsally, with a short beak, incompletely bilocular; valves thin, densely hairy; fruit opening along the ventral suture. Seeds 3−4 mm long, greenish brownish.
