Stipules hyaaline-membranous, 5−7 mm, narrowly triangular, vaginate-connate high up, densely covered with medifixed, subappressed white hairs c. 1 mm. Leaves 5−12 cm; petiole 3−8 cm, densely hairy like the stipules. Leaflets in 1−2 pairs, obovate to elliptic, 10−18 × 4−10 mm, obtuse to subacute, on both sides densely hairy like the rachis. Peduncles 10−20 cm, sulcate, covered with appressed white, toward the raceme with mixed white and black hairs. Racemes globose-ovoid, 3−3.5 cm long. Bracts scarious, 3−4 mm, narrowly triangular, white and black ciliate. Calyx soon becoming inflated, globose-ovoid, 10−12 mm, rather densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, subappressed black hairs c. 1 mm and with basifixed, ± spreading white hairs up to 2 mm; teeth subulate, 3−4 mm.
