Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2138Plants 8−15 cm tall, nearly acaulescent. Rootstock branched, with short to elongated stolons. Stems of the current year, if present, up to 1 cm, loosely to densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.6−0.8 mm. Stipules 4−6(−8) mm, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, the lower ones hyaline- membranous, vaginate-connate high up with triangular free tips, subglabrous, the upper ones vaginate- connate to 1/3−1/2 of the length, with sometimes greenish, narrowly triangular tips, appressed hairy. Leaves 2.5−8 cm; petiole 1−4 cm, like the rachis hairy like the stem. Leaflets in lower leaves often singular, in upper leaves in 1−2(−3) pairs, ovate to elliptic, the lateral ones 5−15 × 3−8 mm, the terminal ones 12−35 × 9−21 mm, obtuse to acute, mostly with a mucro c. 1 mm, on both sides loosely to more rarely densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 0.5−1 mm. Peduncles 3.5−8 cm, loosely hairy like the stem, sometimes below the raceme with few black hairs mixed in. Racemes loosely to rather densely 10−18-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, 3−5 mm, narrowly triangular, white and black hairy, at the margins with minute, sessile glands. Pedicels c. 1 mm, hairy. Calyx at beginning of anthesis 9−10 mm, tubular, densely covered with appressed to ascending or partly spreading, ± medifixed white hairs c. 1 mm, with few ± appressed black hairs mixed in, at length ovoid-inflated, the fruiting calyx 18−23 mm, loosely to rather densely covered with appressed to spreading white and black hairs; teeth narrowly triangular-acuminate, 1.5−3 mm, on inner side and at the margins with basifixed, thin, tangled white hairs. Petals reddish yellow. Standard c. 22 mm; blade 8 mm wide, elliptic, slightly emarginate, gradually narrowed into the cuneate claw. Wings c. 20 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 9 × 2 mm; auricle c. 0.8 mm, claw 11 mm. Keel c. 17 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, rounded, 6 × 3 mm; auricle acute, c. 0.8 mm, claw 11 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 2 mm, glabrous. Legumes with a stipe c. 4 mm, enclosed in the calyx, narrowly ellipsoid, 9−10 mm long, c. 3 mm high and 2 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly grooved dorsally, shortly acuminate; valves glabrous.
