Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, with a pluricipital root-crown, often with somewhat elongated stolons. Stems (1–)3–15(–24) cm, densely covered with spreading hairs. Stipules whitish- membranous, 10–15 mm, adnate to the petiole for c. 1 mm, oblong-triangular to narrowly triangular, loosely, toward the margins densely hairy. Leaves 15–30 cm; petiole (2–)4–7(–9) cm, like the rachis sulcate, densely covered with spreading hairs 2–3 mm. Leaflets in (7–)9–12(–15) pairs, ovate to elliptic, 10–25(–32) × 7–16(–20) mm, rounded and mostly with a minute cusp, on upper side glabrous or nearly so, on underside especially at the prominent midvein with ascending hairs. Peduncles 0.5–4 (–5) cm, with spreading hairs. Racemes densely (2–)6–10(–12)-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, 8–14(–20) mm, narrowly triangular, hairy. Pedicels 1–3 mm, hairy. Calyx 12–15(–18) mm, campanulate, villous; teeth subulate, 9–10 mm, 2–3 times the length of the tube. Petals (standard and wings) hairy, yellow. Ovary sessile, densely hairy; style very short, hairy. Legumes sessile, ovoid to ellipsoid, 12–18 mm long, 6–8 mm high and 3–4 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly grooved dorsally, with a beak 1–2 mm, mostly completely bilocular; valves thin, brownish, long villous. Seeds 2–3 mm long, reddish brown, smooth.
