Rootstock strongly divided with numerous elongated, subterranean to aerial branches, covered with brownish, fibrillose bark. Stems of the current year 5−10 cm, erect, slender, loosely to densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.3−0.5 mm. Stipules membranous, green, 1−3 mm, narrowly triangular, very shortly adnate to the petiole. Leaves 4−10(−13) cm; petiole 0.8−2 cm, with the rachis slender, loosely to rather densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 6−10(−13) pairs, narrowly oblong, 5−10 × 1−2 mm, subacute to acute, on both sides loosely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs c. 0.5 mm. Peduncles many, erect, slender, 5−15 cm, loosely hairy like the rachis. Racemes 4−10 cm long, loosely to remotely 5−8-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, ovate to narrowly ovate, 1−1.5 mm, acute, sparsely appressed black, with some white hairs mixed in. Pedicels c. 1 mm, black hairy. Calyx c. 10 mm, tubular, densely covered with appressed black hairs, especially near the base; teeth subulate, c. 2.5 mm. Petals pale pink. Standard 15−17 mm.
