Stems of the previous years ligneous, 15−30 cm, densely appressed hairy; stems of the current year (7−)10−20 cm, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs c. 0.5 mm. Stipules hyaline, 3−4 mm, shortly adnate to the petiole, vaginate- connate high up, nearly glabrous. Upper leaves 3−5 cm with a petiole 0.5−2 cm, lower leaves 7−11 cm, with a petiole 4−9 cm; petiole and rachis densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 2−3 pairs (only in uppermost leaves sometimes with 1 pairs or with one terminal only), elliptic to narrowly elliptic, 10−30 × 3−12 mm, acute or obtuse, on upper side glabrous, on underside sparsely to rather densely appressed hairy. Peduncles 2–5 cm, nearly glabrous. Racemes (12−)18−25 cm long, remotely many- flowered; axis glabrous.
