Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1724Plants a subshrub 50−65 cm tall. Stems in older parts up to 30 cm, densely appressed hairy, covered with greyish brown, longitudinally splitting bark in age; stems of the current year 5−15 cm, branched, with often very short but nevertheless flowering brachyblasts, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−0.8 mm. Stipules membranous, 2−3 mm, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, vaginate-connate high up, often for the whole length, sparsely to loosely appressed hairy, often subglabrous with age, at the margins mostly with minute sessile glands. Leaves 1.5−3(−6) cm; petiole 0.2−0.6 cm, with the short rachis densely hairy like the stem; rhachis indurating, partly persistent and subspiny. Leaflets in (1−)2 pairs, narrowly elliptic, 10−20(−40) × 2−4.5(−7) mm, on both sides loosely to rather densely covered with medifixed, appressed hairs 0.8−1.2 mm. Peduncles 2−5 cm (in brachyblasts up to 1 cm), hairy like the stem. Racemes (8−)10−15 cm long, remotely many-flowered (in brachyblasts often 2−4-flowered). Bracts membranous, 1.5−2 mm, ovate, sparsely white hairy, at the margins often with minute sessile glands. Pedicels 1−2 mm, white hairy. Calyx 5−6 mm, campanulate-tubular, loosely covered with medifixed to partly asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed white hairs 0.4−0.8 mm; teeth narrowly triangular, 0.5−1 mm, densely white hairy on inner side. Petals ? purple. Standard 12−14 mm; blade obovate, emarginate, in lower half subabruptly contracted into the cuneate claw. Wings 11−13 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, 5−6 × 2 mm; auricle c. 0.5 mm, claw c. 7 mm. Keel 9−11 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part widely, nearly rectangular-curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, subobtuse, 4−4.5 × 2.2−2.5 mm; auricle short, claw c. 7 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary subsessile, villous; style glabrous. Legumes sessile, c. 7 mm long, 3 mm high, 2 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly rounded dorsally, with a curved beak 1−2 mm, bilocular; valves rigidly membranous, densely villous with basifixed, ascending to nearly spreading white hairs 2−2.5 mm and with very short, subappressed hairs. Occurrence: on loose or consolidated sands.
