Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 2039Plants 10–25 cm tall, acaulescent or subacaulescent, loosely caespitose. Rootstock with a pluricipital root-crown, covered in upper part with remnants of old stipules. Stems. if present, up to 2 cm, densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, subappressed to ascending, tangled white hairs 0.5–0.8 mm. Stipules greenish, 6–9 mm, adnate to the petiole for 2–4 mm, the basal ones distinctly vaginate-connate, all others free from each other, the free tips narrowly narrowly triangular to triangular, hairy like the stem, densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, subappressed white hairs 0.5–0.8 mm, at the margins with basifixed hairs and shortly stalked glands, glabrescent with age. Leaves 7–21 cm; petiole 2–3.5 cm, like the rachis shallowly grooved adaxially, densely covered with symmetrically to strongly asymmetrically bifurcate, ± spreading, tangled white hairs. Leaflets in (10–)15–22 pairs, narrowly elliptic to narrowly oblong, (5–)7–15 × 2–4 (–5) mm, acute to subobtuse, on upperside glabrous, on underside densely hairy like the rachis. Peduncles 5–18 cm, ascending to erect, rather densely hairy like the rachis, just below the raceme with black hairs mixed in. Racemes 5.5–6.5 cm long, rather densely 6–15-flowered. Bracts 2.5–4 mm, narrowly ovate, acute, with white and black hairs. Pedicels 3–5 mm, with spreading white and black hairs. Calyx 15–20 mm, tubular, densely covered on dorsal (abaxial) side with predominantly black, on ventral (adaxial) side with predominantly white, symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, ± spreading, tangled hairs c. 0.5 mm, with few basifixed, white and black hairs up to 1.5 mm mixed in; teeth narrowly triangular, acuminate, 2–3 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals yellow. Standard 40–47 mm; blade 8–9 mm wide, narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic, emarginate, subangularly or gradually passing into the rather long, cuneate claw. Wings 39–45 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obliquely emarginate, 15–16 × 3.5 mm; auricle c. 0.8 mm, claw 25–28 mm. Keel 37–40 mm; blades narrowly oblong obovate, rounded, 13–14 × 4 mm; auricle minute, claw 24–25 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 3 mm, ellipsoid, densely white hairy; style very long, glabrous. Legumes with a slender stipe c. 2 mm, narrowly ovoid, 18–20 mm long, 5 mm high and 7–8 mm wide, flattened ventrally, shallowly and widely grooved dorsally, with a straight beak 5 mm, bilocular; valves nutlike corioaceous, profusely and finely cross-wrinkled, rather sparsely covered with soft, spreading white hairs.
