Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 277Plants 25–80(–100) cm tall, acaulescent, in vegetative parts with mostly white or yellowish hairs. Rootstock stout, branched. Stipules whitish-membranous, 10–20 mm, narrowly ovate to triangular, shortly adnate to the petiole, densely covered with subappressed to ascending hairs 1–1.5 mm. Leaves 25–40 cm; petiole 6–15 cm, like the rachis densely covered with subapressed or spreading hairs 0.3–1.5 mm, sometimes with black hairs mixed in. Leaflets in 7–10(–11) pairs, ovate to widely ovate, (15–)20–40(–60) × 10–15 mm, acute to acuminate, on both sides densely covered with subappressed silky to slightly ascending hairs 1–2 mm. Peduncles 20–35 cm, elongating in fruit, erect, hairy like the rachis or with predominantly black hairs. Racemes 15–20 cm, elongating in fruit to 25–30 cm; axis hairy like the peduncle. Bracts scarious, 6–15 mm, linear-subulate, with long white and few shorter black hairs or with predominantly black hairs, sometimes falling with age. Pedicels 2–3 mm, with spreading white or predominantly white hairs. Bracteoles white-membranous, linear, c. 2 mm, at the base of calyx. Calyx 12–18 mm, densely covered with asceding to spreading, tangled white hairs 0.3–1.5 mm, with some black hairs up to 0,5 mm mixed in; teeth subulate, 4–6 mm, white hairy on inner side. Petals pale yellowish. Standard 18–22 mm; blade c. 8 mm wide, obovate, emarginate, subangularly passing into the rather short claw. Wings 18–20 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 8–9 × 2 mm; auricle c. 1 mm, claw 9–10 mm. Keel 14–17 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and slightly curved upper edge, subacute, c. 6 × 3.5 mm; auricle 0.5 mm, claw 8–9 mm. Stamen-tube strongly obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 6 mm, glabrous. Legumes with a stipe 10–15 mm, narrowly oblong, straight, rarely slightly curved, acuminate at both ends, 35–40(–60) mm long, 5–7 mm high, c. 3 mm wide, bilocular; valves pale brownish, thinly coriaceous, glabrous. Seeds 4–6 in each locule, 4 × 3 mm, blackish brown.
