Stipules membranous to greenish or reddish-suffused, 8−10 mm, adnate to the petiole, behind the stem vaginate-connate up to 1/2−2/3 of the length, with triangular-acuminate tips, ciliate at the margins. Leaves 7−20 cm; petiole 3−8 cm, like the rachis loosely to densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−1 mm. Leaflets in (1−)2−3(−4) pairs, those of lower leaves sometimes only with one terminal leaflet, widely elliptic to suborbicular, (12−)15−40 × 10−25 mm, acuminate, with a mucro 1−2 mm, on both sides loosely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.5−1.5 mm. Peduncles 10−22 cm, loosely hairy like the rachis but toward the raceme also with black hairs. Racemes (4−)6−8 cm long, rather loosely 15−20-flowered. Bracts whitish-membranous, 3−6 mm, narrowly triangular to ovate- acuminate, sparsely black and white hairy, at the base of the margins with minute, sessile glands. Keel 21−23 mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with slightly widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, obtuse, 7 × 2.5 mm; auricle 0.5 mm, claw c. 15 mm. Ovary with a stipe c. 2 mm. Legumes with a stipe c. 1 mm, enclosed in the calyx, narrowly oblong, 10−14 mm long, c. 5 mm high and 2−2.5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, grooved dorsally, acute; valves densely hispid-villous, with ascending to spreading white hairs 2−3 mm, often sitting on little tubercles.
