Rootstock up to 10 mm thick, with a pluricipital root-crown, in upper part covered with remnants of old stipules. Stipules white-membranous, 7−12 mm, adnate to the petiole for c. 2 mm, the lower ones ovate, glabrous, the upper ones narrowly triangular, sparsely ciliate at the margins. Leaves 7−18 cm; petiole 2−6 cm, like the rachis loosely to rather densely covered with spreading hairs 1.5−3 mm. Leaflets in 10−16 pairs, widely obovate to nearly orbicular, 5−12 × 5−10 mm, rounded to distinctly emarginate, on upper side glabrous, on underside at the main nerv and at the margins very sparsely to sparsely subappressed hairy. Legumes sessile to subsessile, obliquely ellipsoid, with nearly straight dorsal line and curved ventral line, 10−15 mm long, 6−7 mm high and c. 5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, narrowly and shallowly grooved dorsally, with a beak 3−4 mm, bilocular; valves thin but tough, straw-colored to brownish, rather densely covered with long, spreading hairs.
