Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 730Plants 9−30 cm tall, mostly distinctly caulescent, rarely nearly acaulescent, with very fine, often flexuose white hairs 1−3 mm. Rootstock branched, with numerous subterranean stolons, covered with remnants of old stipules. Stems 0.6−13 cm, ascending to erect, densely covered with spreading hairs. Stipules membranous, 6−11 mm, triangular, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, densely hairy. Leaves 9−15 cm; petiole 2−3(−5) cm, like the rachis with dense, spreading hairs. Leaflets in 14−26 pairs, narrowly oblong to narrowly ovate, (3−)5−8(−12) × 2−3(−5) mm, on upper side cotton wool-like hairy, sometimes glabrescent, on underside densely hairy. Racemes with a peduncle 1−1.7 cm, with spreading hairs, loosely 3−8-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, 4−7 mm, linear-acute, long hairy. Pedicels 2−5 mm, densely hairy. Calyx 10−16 mm, tubular, densely covered with curly hairs; teeth 6−7 mm, subulate. Petals hairy, pale greenish yellow. Standard 14−18 mm; blade hairy on upper side, 6−7 mm wide, obovate-panduriform, emarginate, constricted in the middle, subangularly passing into the short claw. Wings 13−16 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly dilated upward, shallowly retuse, c. 6 × 2 mm; auricle 0.5−1 mm, claw 6−9 mm. Keel 12−14 mm; blades obovate-triangular, with rectangularly curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, obtuse, 4−5.5 × 2.5−3 mm, both blades free in the upper third; auricle nearly 1 mm, claw 8−9 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe 2−3 mm, densely hairy; style glabrous. Legumes with a stipe 1−2 mm, narrowly oblong, 8−11 mm long, 3−4 mm high and 3−3.5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, shallowly grooved dorsally, with a beak 1−2 mm, incompletely bilocular; valves thin but tough, straw-colored, appressed hairy; fruit opening along the ventral suture, later on also at the dorsal side.
