Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1824Plants very shortly caulescent to nearly acaulescent, 6–22 cm tall, in vegetative parts with ± medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.3–0.5 mm. Rootstock shortly branched. Stems several, up to 4 cm, branched at the base, densely hairy. Stipules c. 3 mm, narrowly triangular, ± spreading, adnate to the petiole for c. 1 mm, glabrous to loosely hairy. Leaves 3–8 cm; petiole 1–3 cm, like the rachis very slender, very sparsely to sparsely hairy. Leaflets in 1–5 pairs, linear to filiform, (8–)20–30 × 0.2–0.4 mm, acute, very sparsely to rather densely hairy. Peduncles 4–10 cm, slender, very sparsely to loosely white hairy. Racemes at anthesis 2–3 cm long, remotely 4–12-flowered, later on strongly elongated up to 8–10 cm; axis with scattered white and black hairs. Bracts whitish-membranous, 1–1.5 mm, narrowly triangular, sparsely black hairy. Pedicels 1–1.5 mm, black hairy. Calyx 5–6 mm, campanulate, obliquely cut at the mouth, rather densely covered with short, appressed white and black hairs; teeth subulate, as long as the tube. Petals dark purple. Standard 9–10 mm; blade suborbicular, c. 6 mm wide, emarginate, at the base subabruptly contracted into the short claw. Wings 8–9 mm; blades obovate, widely rounded to very slightly retuse, 5 × 3 mm; auricle 0.5 mm, claw 3 mm. Keel 7.5 mm; blades obliquely obovate-triangular, with in upper third ± rectangularly curved lower edge and straight upper edge, subacute, 4.5 × 2.5 mm; auricle minute, claw 3 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary sessile, ellipsoid, white hairy; style thickish, glabrous. Legumes sessile, oblong, curved, 9–15 mm long, c. 3 mm high and 2.5 mm wide, keeled ventrally, deeply grooved dorsally, subacute with persistent slender style, bilocular; valves thin but tough, straw-colored, rather densely covered with white, subappressed, ± medifixed hairs 0.2–0.5 mm and with tangled, spreading, strongly asymmetrically bifurcate hairs 1–1.5 mm, glabrescent with age. Seeds ± 4 in each locule.
