Tavsif · Description
Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1918Plants 20–50 cm tall, subshrubby, covered in vegetative parts with ± medifixed, appressed hairs 0.3–0.8 mm. Rootstock up to 8 mm in diameter, branched. Stems branched at the base, with older parts ligneous, covered with longitudinal splitting, chestnut-brown bark, stems of the current year 5–15 cm, densely covered with white hairs, near the nodes sometimes also with some black hairs mixed in. Stipules greenish, (3–)4–5 mm, narrowly triangular, adnate to the petiole for c. 2 mm, white hairy, rarely near the base with few black hairs. Leaves (2–)3–8 cm; petiole 0.6–1.5 cm, like the rachis grooved adaxially, loosely to densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in 5–8 pairs, narrowly elliptic, (2–) 6–13 × (1–)2–4(–6) mm; acute to very shortly acuminate-mucronulate, more rarely obtuse to slightly retuse, on upper side sometimes nearly glabrous or sparsely to loosely hairy, on underside loosely to rather densely covered with appressed white hairs 0.8–1 mm. Peduncles ± as long as the leaves, hairy like the stem but toward the raceme with increasing appressed to spreading black hairs. Racemes short, capitate-ovoid, up to 5 cm long, densely 10–20-flowered, at fruiting time slightly elongated. Bracts whitish-membranous, narrowly triangular, 4–5 mm, with ± spreading, predominantly basifixed and black hairs. Pedicels c. 2 mm, predominantly black hairy. Calyx (12–)14–17 mm, tubular, obliquely gibbous at the base, strongly obliquely cut at the mouth, with subappressed to ascending or sometimes spreading, symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate black hairs 0.3–1 mm and with tangled, spreading, mostly basifixed white hairs up to 2 mm; teeth subulate, unequal, 3–5 mm, hairy on inner side. Petals whitish with violet standard. Standard 20–23 mm; blade obovate, 9–10 mm wide, retuse, slightly angularly passing into the cuneate claw. Wings 18–22 mm; blades obovate, rounded, 6–8 × 4–4.5 mm; auricle round, c. 0.5 mm, claw 12–15 mm. Keel 16–19 mm; blades semicircular, with widely an nearly rectangularly curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, acute, 6 × 3.5 mm; auricle short, claw 12–14 mm. Stamen-tube ± truncate at the mouth. Ovary subsessile, white and black hairy; style glabrous. Legumes subsesssile, with a stipe c. 0.5 mm, ascending to horizontally spreading, the lower ones often slightly nodding, subulate-linear, 35–55 mm long, 2.5–3 mm high and wide, keeled ventrally, widely grooved dorsally, triangular in cross-section, with a straight, subulate beak 1–3 mm, bilocular; valves coriaceous, densely covered with appressed white and black hairs.
