Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. I, p. 589Plants 16−40 cm tall, shortly caulescent, completely glabrous. Rootstock up to 12 mm thick, with a pluricipital root-crown. Stems 3−10 cm, angular-sulcate. Stipules white-membranous, 9−12 mm, triangular, at the base obliquely decurrent at the stem, adnate to the petiole for c. 2 mm. Leaves 15−30 cm; petiole 4−7 cm, like the rachis sometimes reddish-suffused. Leaflets in 5−8 pairs, mostly remote, widely obovate to nearly orbicular, 15−40(−45) × 11−35 mm, widely rounded so slightly emarginate. Racemes with a peduncle 4−8 cm, oblong, 6−10 cm, 8−20-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, linear-acute, the lower ones up to 12 mm, the upper ones up to 8 mm. Pedicels 2−5(−7) mm, at anthesis erect, in fruit recurved, fruits therefore pendant. Bracteoles very rarely present, minute, in the middle of the pedicel. Calyx 8−12 mm, tubular; teeth filiform, unequal, the longer ones (5−)6−8 mm, the shorter ones 4−5 mm. Petals yellow. Standard 24−30 mm; blade 8−10 mm wide, elliptic, slightly emarginate, gradually narrowed into the long claw. Wings 22−28 mm; blades narrowly oblong, rounded, 11−13 × c. 3 mm; auricle c. 2 mm, claw 12−17 mm. Keel 19−24(−26) mm; blades obliquely elliptic, with widely curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, rounded, 6−8 × c. 3.5 mm; auricle short, acute, claw 12−16 mm. Stamen-tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a stipe c. 4 mm. Legumes with a stipe 5−7 mm, ovoid to ellipsoid, 18−22 mm long, 9−12 mm high and 8−12(−14) mm wide, obtusely keeled ventrally, flattened or very shallowly grooved dorsally, with an narrowly triangular beak 3−4 mm, nearly completely bilocular; valves thin but tough, straw-colored.
