Stems of the current year several, 1−7 cm, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs c. 1 mm. Stipules hyaline-membranous, 4−6 mm, narrowly triangular to triangular, nearly free from the petiole but behind the stem high up vaginate-connate, sparsely appressed hairy to subglabrous.
