Rootstock divided, often with short stolons covered in upper part with remnants of old stipules. Stipules white-membranous, 10−14 mm, adnate to the petiole for 3−5 mm, the lower ones glabrous, the upper ones ciliate at the margins and hairy toward the tip. Leaves 5−15 cm; petiole 3−8 cm, like the rachis loosely to rather densely covered with very unequal, spreading hairs 0.5−3 mm. Leaflets 4−8-verticillate in 6−12 crowded whorls, narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic, 4−8 × 1.5−3 mm, on both sides densely covered with ascending hairs, often folded. Racemes sessile or with a hairy peduncle up to 1 cm, 2−3-flowered. Bracts white-membranous, 6−9 mm, linear-acuminate, ciliate at the margins. Pedicels 4−6(−8) mm, hairy. Calyx tubular, 11−14 mm, at the base loosely, toward the top more densely covered with long spreading hairs; teeth 3−6 mm, narowly-triangular-acuminate. Petals glabrous, yellow, fading red. Standard 19−25 mm; blade c. 8 mm wide, obovate or slightly panduriform and in lower third slightly constricted, emarginate, at the base slightly angularly passing into the narrow claw 6−7 mm. Wings 17−23 mm; blades narrowly oblong, slightly emarginate, 8−10 × 2−2.5 mm; auricle 1−1.5 mm, claw 10−13 mm. Keel 16−20 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part rectangularly curved lower edge and slightly concave upper edge, obtuse, c. 6 × 3.5 mm; auricle short, claw 10−14 mm. Stamen- tube obliquely cut at the mouth. Ovary with a hairy stipe 1−2 mm, densely appressed long hairy; style glabrous. Legumes unknown.
