Podlech & Zarre (2013), vol. III, p. 1725Plants a subshrub 30−60 cm tall. Rootstock covered with grey brownish bark, with ligneous, divided branches 15−35 cm, densely appressed hairy. Stems of the current year 5−20 cm, branched, very densely covered with medifixed, appressed white hairs 0.7−1 mm. Stipules pale brownish- membranous, 2−3.5 mm, adnate to the petiole for 1−2 mm, vaginate-connate high up, with short, triangular free tips, loosely to rather densely covered with appressed white hairs, glabrescent with age. Leaves 1.5−6 cm; petiole 0.3−2 cm, with the rachis densely hairy like the stem. Leaflets in mostly 2 pairs, more rarely some leaves of the main stem with 1 pair, narrowly elliptic, (8−)10−20 × (1−)2−6 mm, rounded to minutely acuminate, on upper side rather densely, on underside densely covered with ± medifixed, appressed hairs 0.5−1 mm. Peduncles 1.5−4.5(−8) cm, hairy like the stem but mostly with ± medifixed, flexuose, subappressed hairs c. 1 mm mixed in. Racemes 3−15 cm long, 10−25- flowered; axis hairy like the peduncle. Bracts whitish-membranous, 1−2 mm, ovate, white and black hairy, at the base often with minute glands. Calyx 6−7(−8) mm, campanulate, slightly obliquely cut at the mouth, rather densely covered with symmetrically to asymmetrically bifurcate, appressed, partly flexuous, white and black hairs 0.6−1 mm in different relations; teeth unequal, subulate to narrowly triangular, 1−2 mm, densely white hairy on inner side. Petals lilac. Standard 12−15 mm; blade 5−7 mm wide, ovate, rounded or slightly to distinctly emarginate, at the base subangularly passing into the wide and rather long claw. Wings 10−13 mm; blades narrowly oblong, obtuse, 4.5−7 × 1.2−2.5 mm; auricle 0.5−0.8 mm, claw 5−6 mm. Keel 9−11 mm; blades obliquely obovate, with in upper part widely curved lower edge and nearly straight upper edge, obtuse to subobtuse, 3.5−5 × 2−2.5 mm; auricle c. 0.3 mm, claw 5−6 mm. Stamen-tube truncate at the mouth. Ovary sessile, densely hairy; style glabrous. Legumes subsessile, narrowly ovoid, 6−9 mm long, 2.5−3 mm high, c. 2 mm wide, with a curved beak 1−1.5 mm; valves thinly coriaceous, densely covered with thin, soft, basifixed, ± spreading white hairs 3−4 mm sometimes sitting on little tubercles and with tangled very short, subappressed hairs, rarely with very few short hairs only.
